To qualify as a GS-12, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal Service. Specialized Experience: Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for providing comprehensive prosecution support to victims and witnesses in the Central Service Section in the Victim Witness Assistance Unit in the United States Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia. Typical work assignments will include: -Researches, reviews and distributes victim service agencies information regarding new programs and services for victims/witnesses of federal crime. -Develops and provides training, information and resources to attorneys, colleagues, support staff, federal agencies, law enforcement and community services providers. -Coordinates lodging accommodations for witnesses. - Provides assistance in obtaining authorization for unusual witness expenses. - Coordinates and implements essential services such as language interpreters, linquists, witness travel/hotel procurement, transportation, and escort services. -Communicates with victim/witnesses of their inquiries.
