To qualify for a Work Order Assistant your resume and supporting documentation must support: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To qualify at the GS-06 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Performing administrative and clerical tasks (e.g., process documents, verify and compile data, maintain logs and files, research discrepancies, etc.) Researching and providing customers with information regarding work/service orders, such as status, costs, actual hours, and address any concerns. Utilizing computer programs to process work/service orders and prepare reports, charts, graphs, letters, etc. to provide management with information. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. EMERGENCY EMPLOYEE: This is an emergency employee designated position, which requires the employee to report for work in emergency situations. Therefore, the employee will be required to report for, or remain at work in emergency situations, and dismissal or closure announcements do not apply unless instructed otherwise. The employee is considered essential to the operations of the installation and is subject to immediate recall or long term shift assignments 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for extended periods of time, and subject to shift rotation and assignment to abnormal tours of duty.
Process a variety of documents, verifying data, maintaining logs and files, compiling data, researching discrepancies, and performing other administrative and clerical tasks in support of Maintenance Operation
Serves as the focal point of contact and is recognized as the authority on processing work orders in the Defense Property Accountability Systems (DPAS) and Enterprise Business System.
Researches and provides information to customers on status, costs, actual hours, and addressing any concerns they have on work orders and service orders.
Collects and accumulates a variety of statistical information (such as operational cost, cost analysis for special projects, reimbursable costs) from office files, records, and personal contacts with various activities.
Prepares reports, charts, graphs, tabular data, and letters to provide information to management, the equipment maintenance staff, tenant activities, and to the users/operators.
