About the Role: As Business Analyst Manager, you will lead a team of Business Analysts, working collaboratively on projects throughout the organization. You will play a critical role in understanding current business processes, identifying opportunities for efficiency, and supporting large-scale team initiatives to drive success. This role requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and a collaborative spirit to effectively bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions. You will be instrumental in enhancing organizational operations and empowering teams to achieve optimal performance. Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership & Development: Provide comprehensive mentorship, coaching, and career development guidance to a team of Business Analysts. Ensure effective staffing with the necessary product expertise to support project success. Manage the onboarding and offboarding processes for Business Analyst resources. Project Ownership & Management: Maintain accountability for the team and oversee all project activities, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines. Stakeholder Collaboration: Facilitate communication and collaboration between functional business leads, IT teams, and other stakeholders to define project approaches, requirements, and testing strategies. Process Optimization: Drive process re-engineering initiatives across the front-to-back office, focusing on market products and operational improvements. Documentation & Reporting: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including BRDs, FRDs, and target state operating procedures. Track project plan activities, including planning, sequencing, and coordinating with Development and QA teams. Data Analysis & Review: Leverage strong analytical skills to independently review and evaluate data sources, business rules, and system specifications. Testing Support: Support the testing lifecycle by reviewing test strategies, plans, and test cases, ensuring thorough documentation. Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify, communicate, and resolve risks and issues impacting project timelines and deliverables. Functional/Technical Competencies: Brokerage & Financial Markets Expertise: Deep understanding of the trading lifecycle, including trade settlement and trade flow. Proven experience working within a Broker/Dealer environment. Product Knowledge: Expertise with a broad range of instruments including Equities, Fixed Income (Bonds, Treasuries), Asset-Backed Securities (ABS), Mortgage-Backed Securities (MBS), Securitized Products, Repos/Reverse Repos, Stock Borrow/Loan, Secondary Loans, and Derivatives. System Proficiency: Significantly proficient with financial industry systems, including Broadridge BPS, ICI, and Postedge. Experience with Bloomberg is highly valued. Methodologies: Proficiency in Waterfall and Agile methodologies. Communication & Influence: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively influence stakeholders. Cross-functional Collaboration: Proven ability to collaborate effectively across Technology, Operations, Finance, and Front/Back Offices. Risk & Market Knowledge: Solid understanding of key Credit and Market Risk topics. Adaptability & Problem-Solving: Ability to thrive under pressure, both independently and as part of a team, and proactively solve complex problems with a logical approach. System Experience (Preferred): Experience with Broadridge BPS, ICI ,and/or Murex, Oracle General Ledger, and/or Markit WSO is a plus. Data & SQL: Strong data analysis skills, including a working knowledge of SQL concepts; prior experience with Oracle and/or SQL Server databases is a plus. Personal Requirements: 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst with a proven track record of team management. Prior experience within the financial services industry, preferably in a relevant role within a Broker/Dealer or similar organization. Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and motivate teams. Highly proactive and results-oriented with a strong sense of ownership. Exceptional analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills. Sound decision-making and judgment abilities. Flexibility to adapt to evolving priorities and tasks. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders. Strong problem-solving aptitude and a logical approach to challenges. Commitment to collaboration and partnership across the organization. Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely-related discipline, or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience The typical base pay range for this role is between $151K - $181K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
