Job Description:
You will serve as a Supervisory Emergency Management Specialist (Emergency Management Officer) of NAVAL SUPPORT ACTIVITY BETHESDA.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Continuing analysis of hazards and vulnerabilities to determine types of threats and the appropriate responses to safeguard critical infrastructure, mission requirements and personnel safety; 2) Coordinating emergency management base operation support for subordinate and/or tenant activities; 3) Coordinating and providing communications capabilities between regional headquarters and emergency personnel at the installation level; 4) Interfacing with customers, service providers, and sponsors that interact in any way with the Naval Support Activity as a representative of the Installation Public Safety Program. You will coordinate exercising of Incident Action Plans under simulated emergency conditions and execution of these plans under emergency conditions.
You will develop and sustain Emergency Management Plans for the installation.
You will train emergency management personnel and first responders in appropriate preparedness, mitigation, response and recovery tasks.
You will create installation level Incident Action Plans in accordance with National Incident Management Systems.
