This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), United States Coast Guard (USCG), Director of Acquisition Program Executive Officer (CG-93), Major Systems Acquisition Assistant PEO Surface (CG-932), Major Systems Program Manager (OPC) (CG-9322), Offshore Patrol Cutter (OPC) Project Resident Office (PRO) located in Mobile, Alabama.
To qualify at the GS-12 grade level, applicants must have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the federal or private sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Specialized experience should demonstrate the following: Knowledge of the range of administrative laws, policies, regulations, and precedents applicable to the administration of acquisition property management operations. Knowledge of a wide range of industrial practices, procedures, and systems for the management and control of Government-owned property and qualitative and/or quantitative methods. Skills to plan, organize, and oversee team members. Skills to plan, organize, and direct team study work and to negotiate effectively with management to accept and implement recommendations where the proposals involve substantial agency resources. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. You will serve as an Industrial Property Management and be responsible for responsible for maintaining oversight of all government property at any contractors facilitates that contains OPC PRO government property. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Creates, establishes, and maintains a property accountability system for all types of government property associated with the Offshore Patrol Cutter-Project Resident Office (OPC PRO) and Resident Inspection Office (RIO) projects. track, report and, work with the contractor to determine corrective actions on tens of thousands line items such as raw materials (steel plate, valves, gauges, pipe, wire, cable, etc.). Provides input to the PRO property management goals and objectives. Responsible to ensure goals and objectives are enunciated in respective planning and forecasting documents and implemented through the execution of property management programs.
