To qualify at the GS-12 level: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: You must possess one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as: Conducts trade and industry research and analysis related to the U.S. manufacturing and industrial base, national security, and/or critical technologies; and Uses data analysis tools to collect, organize, and evaluate data to identify key findings and trends; and Prepares a variety of written materials that communicate analytical conclusions and assessments; and Presents briefings to senior leaders, interagency partners, industry, and/or division leadership; and Establishes and maintains working relationships with multiple stakeholders; To qualify at the GS-13 level: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: You must possess one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as: Conducts trade and industry research and analysis related to the U.S. manufacturing and industrial base, national security, and/or critical technologies; and Develops methods and processes while providing policy recommendations related to U.S. industrial base, trade and national security; and Prepares a variety of written materials that communicate analytical conclusions and assessments; and Presents analytical briefings to senior leaders, interagency partners, industry, and/or division leadership; and Establishes and maintains working relationships with multiple stakeholders.
As a Trade and Industry Analyst, you will perform the following duties: Develops and implements new methods, organizational structures, and management processes to meet industrial base analysis needs of partner agencies and special requests of senior management. Analyzes and evaluates key business and industry policy questions related to the U.S. industrial base, trade, national security, and/or critical technologies and contributes to significant agency decisions, policy recommendations and positions Plans and manages delivery of major and continuing agency program which are central to agency objectives including Section 232 investigations and reports, defense industrial base surveys and reports, and other industrial analyses. Represents the agency authoritatively to key government and business officials and organizations.
