Job Description:

You will serve as a LEGAL ADMINISTRATIVE SPECIALIST in the MILITARY PERSONNEL SERVICES BRANCH of HQ US MARINE CORPS.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector assisting in military human resources management providing policies and procedures on military benefits and entitlements concerning casualties and deceased military personnel. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
You will adjudicate cases from officers and enlisted Marines on behalf of their wives, children, step-children, adopted children, and/or illegitimate children upon request.
You will analyze evidence such as marriage and birth certificates, divorce or other court orders, affidavits to establish common-law marriages and evidence of a like nature.
You will process routine and complex applications for arrears in pay.
You will investigate complex and missing documentation to applications for arrears in pay on personnel who arc released from active duty or discharged prior to a determination of BAH entitlement.
You will develop and maintain annual review files for dependency continuation.
