Job Description:
You will serve as a Human Resources Assistant (MIL) in the Deployability Assessment Branch of NAVY PERSONNEL COMMAND.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Performing administrative functions to assist in the transfer and placement of personnel; 2) Entering, maintaining and safeguarding data in personnel records to protect program integrity; 3) Adhering to and demonstrating an extensive knowledge of rules, policies, and procedures regarding transferring individuals to new duty stations; and 4) Composing official emails, letters, memoranda or reports using correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation. You will maintain files of all enlisted TLD (YH) and pregnancy (DP) availabilities.
You will determine an appropriate shore-based unit to temporarily assign the member and request an associated Additional Requisition (ADREQ).
You will review shore commands for potential enlisted placement, ensuring the Navy's "Fair Share" policy is applied and that the command is not restricted from receiving TLD or pregnant personnel per Manning Control Authority (MCA) direction.
You will assist with placement of officer Service members in the TLD and OIDES programs.
You will track and monitor placement actions of officer Service members in the TLD, OIDES, and pregnancy programs.
