At the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), we are at the forefront in preventing and detecting terrorist financing, money laundering, and other financial crime. Serve at the nation's financial intelligence unit and protect the United States financial system from criminals and terrorist financiers.
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For the GS-15, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: Leading people or projects related to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), anti-money laundering laws, or other laws related to financial crimes; OR Coordinating, formulating, and planning regulatory policy programs and initiatives for an organization related to the Bank Secrecy Act, anti-money laundering laws, or other laws related to financial crimes; OR Managing efforts to coordinate and collaborate with law enforcement, financial industry representatives, and/or banking regulators to identify issues and areas of concern related to the Bank Secrecy Act, anti-money laundering laws, or other laws related to financial crimes. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. This position is located in our Office of Regulatory Policy. As a Supervisory Regulatory Interpretation Specialist, you will: Plan, identify, and set section-wide objectives and work assignments, including: the issuance of anti-money laundering/combating the financing of terrorism (AML/CFT) guidance and administrative rulings. Lead and oversee staff in researching, conceiving, reviewing, coordinating, and implementing Bank Secretary Act (BSA) program activities to assist in the protection of the U.S. financial system from abuse by criminals and terrorists through administration of the regulatory regime of the BSA and international standards. Assist the Director of the Office of Regulatory Policy in leading statutory implementation efforts, including the implementation of the Anti-Money Laundering Act of 2020. Ensure the section's products and presentations are clear, consistent, concise, timely, relevant, and accurate.
