Job Description:

This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command. It is in the Professional Work Category at the Senior Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA - FE/Endpoint Services/ Customer Support Div.
In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below. Basic Requirement: Education Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- quality assurance, statistics, mathematics, production management, industrial management, computer science, engineering, engineering technology, physical sciences, textiles, or other fields related to the position. OR Specialized Experience: Experience that demonstrated a practical knowledge in monitoring, controlling, or maintaining the quality of products or services in quality assurance, procurement, inspection, production, or related areas. AND Qualifying Experience: To qualify at the GG-14, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: experience providing oversight of quality assurance programs; researching, developing, preparing, and interpreting all policies and procedures; providing technical advice and developing instructions for subordinate quality assurance elements. Candidates must describe how they meet the qualifying experience and/or selective placement factor(s) within the body of their resume. All qualifications must be met within 30 days after the closing date of this announcement.
Researches, develops, prepares, and/or interprets all NLCC Quality Assurance policies and procedures and renders advice thereon to Service Operations Division staff and field contracting installations and activities.
Provides research, reviews, and/or interprets regulatory and directive material issued or to be issued by higher authority and prepares necessary instructions and guidance to carry out such policies and procedures
Reviews and analyzes proposed legislative directives, decisions, and regulations by the DOD, DISA, and other agencies to determine the impact on quality and product assurance requirements, warranties and material conformance deficiencies.
Participates in Acquisition Management Reviews and conducts staff surveillance and assistance visits.
Develops instructions for subordinate quality assurance elements, provides technical advice on the interpretation and implementation of specific quality assurance requirements in all phases of plans, program, program execution and problem solving
