For GS-09 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience at the GS-07 grade level or equivalent performing duties such as: Reviewing automated and/or manual accounting and financial management systems to find, review, or change accounting data in transactions files, ledgers, accounts, summary reports and financial statements Interpreting financial and accounting data to provide appropriate analysis for management's use in decision making. Reviewing guidance, memoranda, procedures, and instructions that cover the full spectrum of accounting and financial management issues. As an Accountant, GS-11 you will perform the following duties: The incumbent is responsible for carrying out professional accounting responsibilities in accordance with guidelines established by DHS/ICE. The incumbent performs activities that enable the agency to ensure compliance with laws and regulations. Take action to achieve organizational financial and accounting objectives. Assist in determining the propriety of accounting transactions from federal funds.
