This SHEET METAL MECHANIC (AIRCRAFT) LEADER position, is located at an Aviation Classification Repair Activity Depot (AVCRAD) and is part of the CA 1106 TASMG.
General Experience: Possess experience, education or training to plan, manufacture, and install cylindrical, square, or rectangular-shaped objects that have easily constructed fastenings such as single and double-hem edges and single, double or grooved seams. SHEET METAL MECHANIC (AIRCRAFT) LEADER, WL-3806-10: Must have at least 24 months of experience demonstrating the ability to plan, organize, and lead the work of others in fields directly related the repair function of this occupational series; experience performing administrative functions; experience reading and interpreting a variety of technical publications used in the repair of supported equipment; and experience providing guidance and lead others in work related directly to this occupational series. THIS IS A T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE, INDEFINITE POSITION Indefinite appointment cannot exceed 5 years. Selectee may be non-competitively converted to permanent status if/when funding becomes available or position becomes unencumbered. The primary purpose of the SHEET METAL MECHANIC (AIRCRAFT) LEADER, WL-3806-10, is to serve as a working leader of at least three employees in accomplishing trades and labor work within the Blade Shop. The highest level of nonsupervisory work led is Sheet Metal Mechanic (Aircraft), WG-3806-10. May make additional selections within 90 days of eligible(s) issuance.
