Job Description:

You will serve as a General Engineer in the AUKUS Integration and Acquisition Office.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-02 (GS-11 equivalency) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: As a professional engineer leading engineering projects (e.g., planning, designing, budgeting, or construction) to maintain compliance with requirements and standards of submarine shipbuilding projects. You will serve as the Australian Construction Lead under the AUKUS Integration and Acquisition initiative.
You will provide shipbuilding and infrastructure expertise to inform the design and construction of Australian submarine shipyard facilities.
You will serve as the primary interface with Australian shipbuilders, technical directors, and U.S. personnel embedded in Australia to facilitate the effective transfer of knowledge and best practices.
You will coordinate requests for construction subject matter expert (SME) support by liaising with shipbuilders and government technical authorities, with the goal of reducing risk to shipyard and submarine production and delivery timelines.
You will review and analyze project management data—including cost, schedule, risk, and quality assurance metrics—to assess progress and identify potential issues.
You will evaluate quality assurance and quality management systems to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and alignment with best practices.
You will plan, direct, and coordinate the efforts of contracted support personnel involved in shipyard construction and submarine production activities.
