Job Description:

You will serve as a GG-0801-13 General Engineer for COMNAVINTRESCOM in Fort Worth, TX. As the Commander Naval Information Force Reserve (COMNAVIFORES) Staff Engineer within the Logistics Department (N4), you will advise on all aspects of the Site Operations program (real property, construction and sustainment, and restoration & modernization) and may perform some duties as the Assistant to the Deputy, Chief of Staff for Logistics.
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following duties such as: 1. Provide guidance on new construction requirements for operations and maintenance/repair of existing facilities. 2. Serve as principal coordinator (owners' representative) for all construction projects. 3. Develop procedures, policies, directives, and engineering studies in order to coordinate all construction plans. 4. Perform in-depth studies of requirements for the organization's facilities using practical knowledge of construction practices, methods, and techniques. 5. Review construction plans and specifications for technical and functional adequacy with an emphasis on data center requirements, site development, quality of construction, and flexibility of space. You will provide technical guidance and assistance both for new construction requirements and for operations, maintenance, and repair of a broad range of existing facilities with a focus on the Joint Reserve Intelligence Centers (JRIC).
You will act as the technical Team Leader for military, civilian, or contract program manager personnel assigned under the Site Operations program.
You will review construction plans and specifications with emphasis on SCIF/SIPRNet Enclave accreditation and data center requirements, site development, quality of construction, flexibility of space, compliance, and functional layout.
You will develop procedures, policies, directives, and engineering feasibility studies applicable to subordinate command elements.
You will represent the command at design meetings on major construction projects along with representatives from other agencies or offices involved in the project.
You will maintain thorough knowledge of Department of Defense (Intelligence Community), Department of Navy, and higher headquarters policy directives, instructions, Business Management Systems, etc.
You will serve as Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) for any Infrastructure contracts.
