This AIRCRAFT MECHANIC LEADER position, is located in the AVCRAD and is part of the CA 1106 TASMG.
General Experience: Have experience or training that has provided you with the skill to remove and replace aircraft parts, accessories, and components, and to make adjustments and settings according to established specifications, and use of hand tools and test equipment. AIRCRAFT MECHANIC LEADER, WL-8852-10: In addition to the journeyman level knowledge, must have at least 18 months experience which demonstrates the ability to plan, organize, and lead the work of others in fields directly related the repair function of this occupational series; Ability to perform administrative functions; to read and interpret a variety of technical publications used in the repair of supported equipment; Ability to provide guidance to others in work related directly to this occupational series. THIS IS A T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE, PERMANENT POSITION The primary purpose of the AIRCRAFT MECHANIC LEADER, WL-8852-10, is to lead three or more Aircraft Mechanics, WG-8852-10, crew chiefs, and specialist personnel. In addition, performs journeyman duties involving the inspection, repair, modification, and servicing of aircraft systems, components, and assemblies for both on- and off-aircraft. May make additional selections within 90 days of eligible(s) issuance.
