Job Description:

You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCE SPECIALIST (MIL) in the Military Personnel Services Branch of HQ US MARINE CORPS.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing military personnel administrative tasks; AND managing , analyzing, and tracking new enrollments, re-enrollments, changes in enrollments, disenrollments, and error enrollments within personnel reporting systems (i.e. DEERS, RAPIDS, etc.) Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management web site: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/#url=List-by-Occupational-Series and https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/0200/human-resources-management-series-0201/ Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
You will be responsible for enrollment and disenrollment processing, and maintenance of eligibility information for Marine Corps active duty, dependent and civilian enrollment.
You will review proposed changes to policy guidance and documentation that may have an impact on the Marine Corps automation systems and procedures.
You will monitor all updates to DEERS/RAPIDS software, which would include new enrollments, re-enrollments, changes in enrollment, disenrollment and error resolution.
You will conduct extensive fact-finding reviews of military personnel cases involving the DoD ID Card program including the new Common Access Card.
You will perform general duties utilizing a variety of software types/packages in addition to word processing software.
You will develop spreadsheets and reports detailing installation progress of RAP.IDS software using Microsoft Excel and Access.
