Job Description:

As the Director for Specialty Supervision, you will plan, organize, implement, and direct activities associated with Special Supervision as well as supervise assigned staff and direct the resources necessary to carry out this program. Additionally, you will report to and serve as an expert advisor to the DC for Thrift Supervision and Specialty Supervision and the SDC for MCBS on all Special Supervision matters. You must meet the following requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of this announcement: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the NB-VI band level. Examples of specialized experience for this position include: Experience planning, scheduling, and monitoring bank and thrift supervisory activities; or Experience managing or leading teams engaged in bank and thrift supervisory activities; or Experience serving as an advisor or consultant to management on bank and thrift supervisory problems, issues, and other technical matters. AND You must also possess a National Bank Examiner (NBE) commission reflecting that you are authorized to sign Reports of Examinations (ROEs) for national banks and federal savings associations. The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector, or through volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. As the Director for Specialty Supervision, you will: Plan, organize, implement, and direct the daily activities of the Special Supervision unit and direct the activities of the problem bank specialist. Provide planning and resource management to ensure that activities of the organization support the OCC objectives and goals. Provide input on proposed OCC policy and program implementation/revision. Develop strong working relationships among subordinates, regions, large bank groups and other headquarter units. Work to develop systems/programs which promote achieving OCC goals and priorities. Lead, motivate, and develop a staff of employees. Monitor the progress of assignments, evaluate training/developmental needs, and evaluate, and provide input to performance evaluations.
