This position is located in the Resource and Work Planning (TEBW) organization in the Internal Operations (TEB) Engineering and Technical Service (TE), Transmission Services (T), Bonneville Power Administration, (BPA). A successful candidate in this position will serve as the supervisor of the Resource and Work Planning organization with responsibility for directing, coordinating, and overseeing work and developing, implementing and evaluating programs and policies.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS A qualified candidate's resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Leading projects or teams that support effective work planning and scheduling; and 2) developing and implementing solutions to address work planning and scheduling challenges, ensuring programs and services are delivered efficiently and cost-effectively. "Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. As a Resource and Work Planning Supervisor, you will: Serve as the technical authority in the development of strategies, policies, systems and initiatives to provide centralized, coordinated system-wide resource and work planning, services that ensure Transmission Engineering and Technical Services' programs and services are conducted in a manner that is cost effective and efficient. Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work. Evaluate work performance of subordinates. Give advice, counsel, or instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters. Find ways to improve production or increase the quality of the work directed. Hear and resolves complaints from employees. Effect minor disciplinary measures. Ensures team-oriented, effective harmonious and productive formal and informal working relationships within the organization.
