About the position: The primary purpose of this position is to provide clerical work in support of technical administrative management and/or operation requirements. This position will be assigned to the Arts and Craft Shop Barksdale AFB, Louisiana Base. This is a flexible position.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Experience in responsible clerical or office work in which the applicant has demonstrated the ability to perform satisfactorily at the grade level of the position. Experience in cash handling procedures to include operating a cash register (computerized or manual) is required. Typing skill is desirable. Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
Performs primarily substantive clerical work in support of technical administrative management and/or operational requirements. Maintains daily funds, deposit documentation and makes decisions regarding the adequacy of the content of the transaction utilizing the proper procedures to follow. Typical duties include maintaining records; receiving, purchase orders, screening, reviewing, and verifying documents; receiving and disbursing cashier duties and tracking daily funds and deposits as well as working with the financial office on a consistent basis; searching for and compiling information and data; providing a central source of information; preparing and/or verifying the validity of documents, etc. Assists and supports the Arts and Craft program by teaching craft classes and techniques, scheduling activities, making reservations, recording attendance and receiving payments for services rendered.
