Job Description:
You will serve as the EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR of SUPERVISOR OF SHIPBUILDING GROTON.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 pay band (or GS-13 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Managing or directing the execution of repair, modernization or maintenance activities (e.g., policy formulation, long-range planning, contractor surveillance) for a shipbuilding program. You will be directly responsible for the overall coordination of day-to-day matters within SUPSHIP Groton, and with General Dynamics, Electric Boat Corporation, NAVSEA, PEO SUB, SECNAV, and many other Navy activities and private contractors.
You will be responsible for the formulation of policy and approach to ensure that the best interests of the Navy/DOD are at all times served arising out of the complex and highly sensitive contractual relationship with Electric Boat Corporation.
You will establish program objectives and long range plans to ensure Electric Boat Corporation compliance with conformance to contract terms, conditions and specifications.
You will review contractual, financial, material, production and technical reports to inquire of, and provide direction and advice in areas which offer the potential for, top management's concern and/or interest.
You will task major organizational elements to develop programs/procedures relative to optimizing their use of financial and personnel resources in meeting their operational responsibilities.
You will provide professional leadership and administrative support and advice on all SUPSHIP Groton's programs and responsibilities.
You will meet regularly with SUPSHIP managers to be briefed on status of work in progress, including the manager's achievement of program goals.
You will evaluate the overall performance of employees and provide advice, counsel, and instruction to ensure assigned duties are accomplished.
