Job Description:
This position is located in Fraud Detection and National Security Directorate, FDNS SCOPS California SC, FDNS SCOPS Nebraska SC, FDNS SCOPS Texas SC, FDNS SCOPS Vermont SC. As an Supervisory Immigration Officer, you will supervise Fraud Detection and National Security (FDNS) Immigration Officers who identify fraud, trends and patterns through complex analyses and investigation and carry out policies and procedures governing the execution of immigration programs.
The qualifications for this position must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 09/25/2025. Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The Time-in-Grade requirement must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 09/25/2025. GS-14: You qualify at the GS-14 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the following duties: Promoting initiatives related to Immigration programs. Providing technical and administrative guidance on anti-fraud, national security, and public safety programs as they relate to administering the Immigration and Naturalization Act (e.g., Adjudications, Inspections, Investigations, and Border Protection) Providing advice and guidance to resolve policy issues. Establishing liaison with management officials, public interest groups, and other government and law enforcement agencies. Independently perform and manage a variety of fraud detection, public safety, and National Security-related duties consistent with the efforts to strengthen national security and the integrity of the country's legal immigration system.
Serve as a Supervisor to FDNS Officers and other personnel who identify fraud trends and patterns through complex analyses and investigation and carry out policies and procedures governing the execution of immigration programs.
Inform the Section Chief (CFDO) and local management of current fraud trends and patterns.
Work with personnel to provide training necessary to comply and support anti-fraud and national security-related operational policies, procedures, and other guidelines.
Work closely with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) personnel and functioning as their local office's primary liaison with other local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies and task forces.
Perform administrative and management functions such as overseeing and directing subordinates, developing work plans, providing advice and counsel personnel, providing periodic evaluations of employee performance, and preparing reports and analyses.
