Job Description:

You will serve as an Operations Research Analyst in the Engineering and Product Support Department, Navy Price Fighters (NPF) Division, of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT. The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Offers of employment related to this vacancy announcement will not be executed until the position has an approved exemption.
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Utilizing a mastery level of knowledge in the professional discipline of operations research, mathematics, and statistics to perform computer analysis of statistical data and findings and other similar techniques. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Performing, monitoring, and implementing advanced analytics studies and assigned Operations Research projects that support acquisition duties aligning with analytical strategy and execution in support of Enterprise strategic guidance and fleet requirements; 2) Performing data analysis to support planning, contracting, program management, and financial decisions while considering demand and lead times that affect buy/repair recommendations supporting fleet requirements via Organic and vendor Additive Manufacturing (AM) capabilities; 3) Leading Operations Research studies and efforts, technical business modeling, and engagement to develop business and logistics policies; and 4) Facilitating coordination between other Commands (i.e. governmental DOD Directorates and various contractors), Program Managers, and DOD Services to include review of shared processes, in order to identify areas for possible improvement and cost initiatives. You will be responsible for leading Operations Research studies and efforts, technical business modeling, DOD Additive Manufacturing (AM) technologies, and engagement with NAVSUP HQ to develop business and logistics policies.
You will perform, monitor, and implement advanced analytics studies and assigned Operations Research projects.
You will manage administrative functions and accuracy in the configuration management of the Additive Manufacturing Cost and Time (AMCAT) and Business Case Analysis (BCA) analytic models.
You will perform data analysis to understand the issues and the root causes that are affecting the costs relating to the Navy's support of warfighter readiness.
You will develop study plans, reports, and briefings for research project efforts.
