Job Description:
You will serve as a QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST in the MOTOR TRANSPORT DIVISION of MARINE CORPS BASE.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Developing techniques and procedures to determine efficiency and effectiveness of contractor compliance with federal, state, and DoD regulations; conducting motor transportation inspections to aid in determining replacement eligibility; reviewing, determining, and approving vehicle modifications (e.g. mobile radios, trailer hitches, snow plows, etc.); and writing equipment and acquisition orders. You will inspect and monitor contract performance to ensure technical proficiency and performance against contractual requirements.
You will develop surveillance techniques and procedures to use in inspecting operation of functions under contract to determine efficiency and effectiveness.
You will monitor contractor progress.
You will serve as the commodity subject matter expert in conducting annual motor transportation organization inspections.
You will review, determine, and approve necessary vehicle modifications (e.g. installation of mobile radios and antennas, trailer hitches, auxiliary lights, snow plows, etc.).
You will define and assist vehicle operator's licensing requirements.
You will inspect completed services for violations and deficiencies.
