Job Description:
You will serve as a Housing Manager in the Bachelor Housing Division of MARINE CORPS BASE.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Current permanent employees of DON, DoD Military Spouse Preference (MSP) eligibles, DoD Military Reserve (MR) and National Guard (NG) Technician Preference eligibles and DoD Retained Grade Preference eligibles, and VEOA eligibles. You will utilize expert knowledge of general housing management principles, concepts, and methodology to plan, direct and coordinate operations involving the management of Studies and Unaccompanied Personnel Housing (UPH) units.
You will formulate local policies and procedures and provides guidance and instructions to subordinates for implementation.
You will study housing demand, housing trends, current and projected installation strength, and mission data to provide input for the Marine Corps Housing Justification Process.
You will adapt policy to ensure efficient and economical operation of the overall housing activities.
You will utilize expert knowledge and skills in identifying and applying the latest management concepts and techniques of housing programs to review and analyze work methods, procedures, internal policies, and the physical layout of activities.
You will resolve problems referred by Bachelor Housing Division employees, providing guidance and assistance in implementing new or revised procedures and reviewing work for compliance with regulatory controls.
You will resolve major complaints of tenants referred by Bachelor Housing Division employees.
You will initiate, develop, and prepare Camp Lejeune orders, directives, regulations, supplements, and policy statements/letters pertaining to barracks, bachelor housing, and TAD transient housing.
You will perform staff visits to Camp Lejeune sub-camps, both special and scheduled to provide staff guidance and management assistance in assigned program areas and evaluate installation performance.
You will provide oversight of the Housing Training Program for the command to ensure equitable distribution of training quotas and other resources.
