Job Description:

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY IT PROGRAM MANAGER (PLCYPLN) in the FINANCE DEPARTMENT, DIVISION OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SERVICES at the U.S.NAVAL ACADEMY.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Acquisition and investment program/project management of an integrated information technology or similarly complex environment; 2) Recommending, executing and reporting on spending priorities and/or information technology initiatives; 3) Planning, procurement and life-cycle management of information technology and/or related resources to include resource requirements, budget prioritizations, acquisition strategies, asset inventories, and commercial contracts ; and 4) Development, integration and implementation of short, mid and long range plans, decisions and directions. You will provide expert technical leadership, management, advice, and guidance on functional, organizational, and client needs and activities improving IT resource requirement planning and execution.
You will ensure implemented solutions, services, and support are adequate and appropriate to assure successful and efficient outcomes under a structured life cycle management program.
You will lead the prioritization, acquisition, and support of hardware, software, services, and solutions to ensure their functional effectiveness and appropriateness.
You will serve as the financial authority and coordinator for the command's IT resource acquisition, distribution, and support issues.
You will evaluate the risks and benefits of alternative solutions and provide recommended strategies for both senior management approval and diverse stakeholder consideration.
