Job Description:
You will serve as a ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT ASSISTANT(OA) in the Warfighting Assessment and Readiness Directorate of COMMANDER US PACIFIC FLEET. This position is subject to the hiring freeze. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing clerical and administrative support functions for a program, office, or executive such as: utilizing various office automation software equipment to perform tasks; drafting, editing, and reviewing correspondence; developing, maintaining, or compiling documentation; and/or greeting, screening, and assisting both internal and external customers. You will utilize various types of office automation (OA) equipment to perform clerical and administrative tasks.
You will utilize technology to support the Command's Information Technology, Knowledge Management, and Travel Coordination functions.
You will coordinate equipment management and supply procurement for the Command.
You will screen, draft, edit, and review a variety of correspondence.
You will develop, maintain, and compile documentation that supports the overall office function.
You will communicate with internal and external customers via email, phone call, and in-person interactions.
You will read and interpret Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of the Navy (DON) policies to ensure program compliance.
