Job Description:

You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (MILITARY/OFFICE AUTOMATION) in the Marine Corps Recruiting Command of 1ST MARINE CORPS.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing clerical support such as administering background screening, reviewing documents, and/or processing applicant packages for commissioning programs; 2) Updating, revising, sorting, calculating and manipulating data using electronic mail, spreadsheets, and database software functions; and 3) Retrieving, researching, and analyzing information from office automation databases and online systems to solve issues, reconstruct documents, and respond to inquiries. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
You will independently develop case files and maintain an active and computerized personnel file system for officer candidates.
You will assist with the accounting and management of the officer selection team marketing budget.
You will collect and maintain all required documents essential to maintain pay records.
You will initiate and coordinate the security clearances of officer candidates.
You will prepare request for appointments packages.
You will develop and prepare all officer selection team official correspondence, lists, vouchers, medical documents, reports and memoranda.
