This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Coordinating projects for structures such as administrative facilities, warehouses, barracks, dining facilities, and communication and surveillance facilities; Visiting cites and existing buildings to investigate conditions prior to initiating designs; Reviewing designs to ensure compliance with criteria and prepare revisions as needed. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
You will make field trips to investigate sites and/or existing building conditions to acquire required information prior to initiating design.
You will prepare in house design by evaluating design objectives, identifies most economical and efficient procedures after considering all functional aesthetic requirements.
You will review design work to ensure design and technical excellence and compliance with criteria and current regulations and codes.
You will prepare design revisions, amendments and change orders to plans specifications that are out for bid or under construction.
You will provide direction and guidance to lower graded employees as required.
