Job Description:
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY GENERAL ENGINEER and Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) Division Head in the BMD Division of AEGIS Technical Representative (TECHREP). Salary Range: GS-14: $137,222 - $178,388 GS-15: $161,409 - $195,200
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band NH-03 (GS-13 equivalent) or grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: "As a professional engineer providing technical and administrative guidance to engineering teams in the surveillance and oversight of contractor's effort to develop, design and test various elements of the AEGIS combat or weapon systems for ships (i.e., cruisers, destroyers, or frigate) programs." You will provide technical, management and administrative guidance to lead an Engineering Team in the surveillance and oversight of the prime contractor’s effort to develop, design and test various elements of the AEGIS Weapon System.
You will serve as a recognized senior engineering expert with responsibility for providing technical advice and guidance on program management and engineering activities of the contractor.
You will plan, coordinate and review the efforts of a team of engineers engaged in the preliminary and final technical review of the designs of assigned functional elements and computer programs prepared by the AEGIS contractor.
You will provide Award fee and/or Incentive Fee inputs to Program Offices on projects being developed in Moorestown in terms of progress made in technical, management, schedule and cost areas as required.
You will represent AEGIS TECHREP at conferences with senior technical and project management personnel of other agencies and laboratories on engineering problems relating to assigned systems, equipment, and computer programs.
You will conduct periodic visits to AEGIS System and Equipment development contractors and second-source contractors to provide on-site reviews and recommendations.
You will establish work assignments to be accomplished by the employees in the program, setting priorities, preparing schedules for work completion, and ensuring the timely performance of satisfactory work efforts.
