Job Description:
You will serve as an ENGINEER/SCIENTIST in the Strike Weapons Systems Division of NAVSURFWARCENDLD.
This is an interdisciplinary position and may be filled by a General Engineer (0801-series), a General Physical Scientist (1301-series), a Mathematician (1520-series), a Computer Scientist (1550-series), or a Data Scientist (1560-series), depending upon the qualifications of the candidate. In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, ND-04 (GS 12/13 equivalency), in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: As a professional Engineer or Scientist providing technical and project leadership to lead performance analysis, mentor staff, and coordinate with stakeholders in order to evaluate requirements, guide missile development and ensure goals are met for a warfare team. You will provide technical leadership to the Tomahawk Analysis Group.
You will analyze missile performance with respect to guidance, navigation and control and coordinate with stakeholders on TWS-level development.
You will provide leadership and analysis of Tomahawk missile performance impacts driven by proposed changes to program level requirements.
You will coordinate with internal and external partners across the TWS community in order to generate engineering studies beneficial to the capabilities and development of the AUR.
You will lead the Analysis team on missile performance developments for simulated and tactical systems.
You will mentor personnel within the organization and provide leadership within the division at the project and sponsor level relative to missile and mission development tasks and processes.
You will provide technical specifications and cost/schedule estimates for proposed analysis tasks for existing and future division programs.
You will provide technical expertise and project leadership across the strike community representing the sponsor interfacing with the developing and supporting organizations to ensure sponsors plans, goals, and milestones are met.
You will interact with the PMA-280 System Engineering and Test organizations to ensure that performance analysis meets program needs.
