Job Description:

You will serve as a Project Lead in the Electronics Systems Branch of the USW Engineering Division of the Undersea System & Sustainment Engineering Department of NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV KEYPORT WA. The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Offers of employment related to this vacancy announcement will not be executed until the position has an approved exemption.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing acquisition project data to identify business process improvement strategies to implement or maintain obsolescence management support for undersea weapons systems. You will be responsible for task development, cost estimates, financial management and project execution for the assigned project.
You will be required to meet objectives and goals established by the Program Manager and various project staff through effective utilization of resources and proper oversight with minimum or no direction.
You will apply system expert knowledge to solve complex technical problems and make engineering recommendations regarding the acquisition, Installation, system sustainability and supportability through the life of the system.
You will plan and coordinate projects requiring innovation and originality in developing schedules, procedures, funding allocation, progress and reporting methods, and efficient application of technical concepts and assigned personnel.
You will review and evaluate all project functions, activities, and events on a continuing basis.
You will evaluate various program office, contractor, and field activity financial tracking data to monitor financial performance of assigned projects.
You will coordinate with the Technical Project Managers and your assigned team to maintain funding lines for your projects.
