FOR THE NT-5 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay grade level NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector advising on technical development, in-service maintenance procedures, and the testing and evaluation of mechanical and electronic repair systems and methods, as well as overall installation efforts to support the performance of Surface Ship Undersea Defense Systems. You will serve as an In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) to support the AN/SLQ-25, AN/SLQ-25A, and AN/SLQ-25C Torpedo Countermeasure Transmitting Set or “Nixie” systems.
You will lead a diverse team of technicians and engineers to troubleshoot and solve U.S. and allied Navy electronics and mechanical issues with the AN/SLQ-25/A/C system.
You will oversee the installation of AN/SLQ-25/A/C upgrades and ship alterations (SHIPALT) on surface ships including aircraft carriers.
You will advise the Undersea Defensive Warfare Systems Program Office (PMS 415) and Navy International Program Office (NIPO) on Foreign Military Sales (FMS) sales case negotiations.
You will interface daily with senior naval officers, leadership at PMS415, NUWC Division Newport management, and senior industry representatives to resolve Surface Ship Torpedo Defense (SSTD) program and system issues.
You will train and provide technical mentoring to Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC), Newport Division Technicians and Engineers.
You will maintain Shipboard Work Tier 3 Qualifications as an On-Site Installation Coordinator (OSIC).
You will provide on-the-job training and formally endorse the qualification of technicians and engineers to be On-Site Installation Coordinators (OSICs).
