Job Description:
You will serve as a Electronics Technician in the Airfield Operations Division of NAVAL AIR STATION LEMOORE.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Reviewing technical airfield electronic work for compliance with regulations; 2) Troubleshooting and repairing airfield electronic equipment, air traffic control systems, radars, instrument approach systems, navigational aids, and communications systems to solve complex technical problems or improve system performance; 3) Evaluating equipment design to improve or enhance circuit and system operation; and 4) Using applicable test equipment, test methods and practices as related to the Air Traffic Control equipment and systems. You will adapt oral communication methods and styles based on the audience and the target objectives.
You will troubleshoot electronic telecommunications equipment and system malfunctions through application of blueprints, technical manuals, and wiring schematics.
You will execute electronic test and evaluation systems or sub-systems to evaluate new or modified equipment.
You will repair Air Traffic Control communication equipment (e.g., data recorders, radio transmitters or receivers, emergency communication systems, terminal communication systems) to maintain equipment.
