Job Description:
You will serve as an Emergency Management Specialist in the Emergency Management HQ Division (N37) of NAS KEY WEST. A Cost-of-Living-Allowance (COLA) of 8.64% will be added to the stated salary.
For GS-12 - Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Provides technical, analytical, and administrative support, to develop and maintain Region and installation-level EM plans that align with applicable plans, procedures, and policies of other Services and federal organizations and agencies; Researches, compiles, sorts, and evaluates information and data to determine its relevance and applicability to Regional EM requirements; Coordinates with existing assessments and integrates their findings into the final risk calculation; Identifies hazards and determines their relative probability of occurrence and associated consequence factors and performs a capability assessment to determine associated needs from capability shortfalls. You will oversee the development of risk models, technology, equipment, and information management systems to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of organization's emergency dispatch program.
You will resolve critical emergency management situations that affect organization wide operations
You will coordinate the acquisition of specialized emergency management equipment.
You will assess emergency management processes, plans, standard operating procedures, or guidance for compliance with established emergency management directives, regulations, civil rights laws, and standards.
You will create written policies in support of emergency management program requirements.
