Job Description:
You will serve as an ACCOUNTANT in the COMPTROLLER GROUP, FINANCIAL IMPROVEMENT AND AUDIT REMEDIATION DEPARTMENT of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.
DA-04: In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or DA-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate duties related to the following: 1) Providing managerial or administrative support for accounting systems; 2) Researching guides to locate accounting, budgetary and financial information; 3) Collaborating with a team and with mission partners; and 4) Communicating both orally and in writing. You will serve as an Accountant on the Financial Improvement Audit Remediation (FIAR) Team.
You will review documentation and data related to business processes, and ensure documentation cites proper internal controls, general ledger postings, and key supporting documentation required for an audit ready environment.
You will be responsible for supporting analysis of Working Capital Fund financial statements and Navy ERP financial reports to facilitate full Navy financial statement audits.
You will be responsible for supporting Internal Sustainment Testing and Internal Control Testing efforts.
