To qualify for a Lead IT Specialist (SYSADMIN/INFOSEC) your qualifications must include: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: - Evaluates and recommends new systems diagnostic tools and ensures Backup, Archive, and Disaster Recover solutions integrity and availability by monitoring operational metrics - Researches, learns, and applies a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods to identify, assess, analyze and improve team effectiveness, efficiency, and work products - Prepares reports and maintains record of work accomplishments and administrative information, as required, and coordinates the preparation, presentation and communication of work-related information to the supervisor Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Implementation of Backup solution, Install and Configure Backup Infrastructure, Setup Backup Policies based on customer requirements, and license management.
Maintain Internal hardware and software inventory, internal budget, maintenance contracts and procurement contracts.
Provides technical guidance, analysis, advice, and trouble-shooting/ problem resolution on a wide range of operational problems involving enterprise IT services that impact DLA enterprise operations.
Participates in planning, designing, conducting and evaluating the results of feasibility and hardware\software performance studies and environmental tests of next generation of assigned products for enterprise implementation.
