This position is part of the Defense Security Cooperation Agency. The incumbent will be responsible for analyzing and interprets broad directives and applies them to the development, issuance, and implementation of Department level Trade Show Management.
You may qualify at the GS-14, if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service: Developing and promulgating policy, procedures, and processes of U.S. interagency participation in international and domestic events Thorough knowledge of the application of qualitative and quantitative evaluation and assessment techniques to apply to DoD and DSCA specific trade show activities. Presenting technical information to diverse groups of senior U.S. government, defense industry, and foreign government officials. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience."
As a TRADE SHOW SPECIALIST at the GS-0301-14 some of your typical work assignments may include: Analyzes and interprets broad directives and applies them to the development, issuance, and implementation of Department level Trade Show Management. Develop, issues, and implements guidance, policy, and regulatory documents. Serves as a subject-matter-expert (SME) to DoD by developing detailed plans, tasks, milestone dates, and schedules to ensure proper sequencing of events to support trade shows. Lead Regular interagency planning sessions to determine program status. Keep abreast of security cooperation (SC) programs, current events, and ongoing international competitions. Ensure appropriate contracting, support, and execution of DoD (and USG) presence at trade shows both within the United States and globally, including by liaising with the Military Services, the Joint Staff, the Department of State, Department of Commerce, U.S. Embassy Country Teams, other U.S. federal agencies, foreign governments, and U.S. defense industry to drive participation and visibility of the U.S. presence.
