The Mortgage Loan Closer's primary responsibility is to complete loan document preparation as it pertains to the loan closing. This role works with closing agents to ensure necessary information is provided to complete the loan closing package. The Mortgage Loan Closer may also perform quality reviews and completes quality control analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
Works well independently with little supervision; will receive assistance from Manager with difficult questions and situations.
Provides guidance to less experienced Closers.
Prepares and reviews loan documentation prior to sending documents to closing agents to ensure completeness, accuracy and compliance to guidelines.
Works with closing agents and loan officers to ensure necessary information is provided to complete loan closing packages while maintaining strong business relationships.
Manage the daily workflow of files throughout the day to ensure completion to meet the appropriate timeframe for the scheduled closing.
Assist internal and external customers through phone calls, emails and returning voicemails.
Provide support in Grant Administration activities to ensure applicants qualify for grants requested and ensure funds are provided in an appropriate timeframe to meet the closing date.
Serve as backup support to Funding team ensuring wires are disbursed timely according to loan funding date.
Additional Requirements:
Work hours are from 9am EST - 6pm EST. This is a Hybrid role that requires 4 days of in office work and 1 remote work day. Availability to work a variable schedule which may include nights and/or weekends
