This position is located at the Peak but may fill other vacancies in the Business Recreation Division. This position is for Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) at Fort Drum, New York. FMWR includes Child and Youth Services, Business Recreation, and Support Services, which enable Soldier readiness, support the resilience and well-being of Soldiers and Families. A qualified candidate must possess the following: meet state/local age (18) requirements for the serving of alcoholic beverages by 11/6/2025 or later, AND ability to work without more than normal supervision, AND ability to keep your work area clean, neat and in order, AND basic application of food preparation and handling techniques, AND ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions, AND be familiar with basic sanitization principles, AND ability to use and maintain kitchen tools and equipment. Prepares a limited variety of short order fast food items such as hamburgers, hot dogs, fish and chicken sandwiches, pizzas, French fries, etc.
Assures that tables/work surfaces are promptly cleared and cleaned and cleans other work areas to include walls, floors, equipment, and storage areas.
Coordinates food and beverage needs for special events, not limited to preparing and serving food and cleaning work areas.
Serves as cashier in the snack bar, receiving payment by cash or charge. Completes cash report at the end of assigned shift. Orders fast food items, condiments, and other necessary supplies.
