Position serves as the first line supervisor for the Wewoka Indian Health Clinic Nursing Department. Plans, develops, and evaluates the clinic plan for nursing care delivered to patients. Position reports to the Chief Nurse Executive. The purpose of this position is to establish, maintain, and direct a comprehensive ambulatory nursing care program for the health center. Examples Include: making patient care assignments for RNs, LPNs, and non-licensed support staff appropriate to skill or licensure level; overseeing work flow on a patient care unit; contributing to unit policy development; leading a performance improvement project or being responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting PI data for a patient care department.
