To qualify for a Realty Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Providing property management and financial accountability support to an organization. Performing property utilization analyses. Interpreting and applying laws and regulations relevant to real estate transactions. Utilizing an automated real estate accountability/inventory system. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Provides real property management and financial accountability support to the Director, DLA Installation Support.
Performs a wide variety of duties relatives to the acquisition, management and disposal of real property, to include compliance inspection of new construction. Review and acceptance of forms, and property management activities/functions.
Ensures that all real estate instruments which document DLA Installation Support rights and responsibilities for these assets, such as use agreements, permits, licenses, leases and easements, are accurate and current.
Updates data in the Enterprise Business System Real Estate (EBS-RE) module. Interprets and applies laws and regulations relevant to the real estate transactions that are the responsibility of DLA Installation Support.
Provides property management recommendations. Identifies unauthorized uses of federally controlled space or property. Conducts inventories, utilization surveys, and/or compliance inspections.
Negotiates contracts, leases, and agreements. Ensures clear guidance is provided to the workforce on what constitutes quality evidential matter and evidential matter requirements.
Maintains real estate records for all property occupied/utilized by DLA, to include a record copy of all real estate instruments, and prepares documents to satisfy various reporting requirements.
