This position is located at Fort Lee, VA and can be filled within the NAF MWR Community Recreation Division and Business Recreation Division. This is an open continuous announcement to provide a ready pool of available applicants as needed. Applicants will be referred as vacancies occur. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid.
Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: Demonstrated ability to performs the duties described above. Must have and retain a valid drivers license.
Opens and/or closes facilities. Issues/receives recreational equipment to authorized users. Collects applicable fees for items issued, accounts for monies collected safeguards funds and makes daily bank deposits.
Pre-checks and prepares equipment for customers, explains use, and monitors proper usage. Conducts surveillance and reports any unusual findings to supervisor. Monitors inventories and condition of items on hand.
Arranges furniture and equipment for various events; puts up and takes down special event decorations. May assist in conducting event. Cleans recreation equipment, supplies and facility area.
Operates equipment and performs self-help maintenance on facilities and equipment. Prepares work order for maintenance. Performs general housekeeping to make facilities/playing fields/pools/outdoor courts ready for use.
Inspects equipment when turned in and collects pre-set fees for damages. Tests mechanical equipment for serviceability after each use. Removes damaged or unusable equipment from inventory. May be required to drive a motor vehicle as needed.
