Job Description:
You will serve as a LEAD IT SPECIALIST (CUSTSPT) in the OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT of FLT NUMER OCEANGPHY METEO CTR(FNMOC).
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying knowledge of different operating systems and diagnosing/resolving system incident, problems, and events. Experience applying knowledge of software failure/recovery procedures. Experience applying knowledge of information assurance principles and practices. Experience applying knowledge of 24/7 IT data processing. Experience with software monitoring and evaluation for High Performance Computing clusters. Experience executing, implementing, documenting, and debugging database systems and software applications. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving. You will ensure operational execution and quality assurance of a large and complex software suite.
You will monitor and correct production issues providing customer support in resolving technical issues.
You will be responsible for monitoring the processing, storage, handling, and distribution of all assigned Meteorology and Oceanography (METOC) products and services.
You will analyze errors in the production of METOC products and services and make corrective recommendations to management.
You will instruct employees in specific tasks and job techniques and make instructions, reference materials and supplies.
You will support telecommunications network and related sophisticated client server systems plans.
You will perform operational execution, configuration and maintenance of application software code and systems.
