Job Description:
You will serve as a Safety & Occupational Health Manager in the Gas Free Engineering Program in the Environment, Safety, and Health Office of PSNS and IMF.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: administering a Safety and Occupational Health Program to include developing procedures and guideline for controlling or elimination industrial hazards causing personnel injury or property damage. You will be developing goals and program plans, ensuring efficient interface of effort among other shipyard departments to accomplish command policy, program, and mission.
You will provide oversight, reviews, and audits regarding the Gas Free Engineering Program in all shops/codes and providing support for work and programs that fall within the scope of the Gas Free Engineering Program
You will be responsible for implementation and management of one or more Shipyard OSH programs.
You will provide recommendations to include engineering controls, administrative controls, work practices and the use of personal protective equipment.
