Job Description:

You will serve as either a SUPERVISORY INDUSTRIAL ENGINEER or a SUPERVISORY OPERATIONS RESEARCH ANALYST in the SYSTEMS ACQUISITION GROUP, COST AND SCHEDULE ANALYSIS DEPARTMENT, SUSTAINMENT COST ESTIMATING AND ANALYSIS DIVISION of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or NM-04 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying knowledge of the concepts, principles, and methods of cost estimating and analysis for weapons systems/subsystems and acquisition strategies; 2) Providing overall technical direction and leadership to multi-disciplined teams, administering management policies and procedures, and coordinating functions between various groups to accomplish program goals; 3) Utilizing cost estimating/analysis techniques in conjunction with other professional disciplines (i.e. program management, logistics, engineering, and contracting) in order to resolve complex problems, provide technical guidance, and meet the needs of customers; 4) Providing customers with cost products that are accurate, timely, and consistent to ensure they meet organizational quality standards; 5) Communicating effectively both orally and in writing; 6) Applying good judgement and ingenuity in making innovative interpretations, adaptations, and modifications to accepted procedures, methods or techniques; 7) Applying excellent organizational and modern leadership skills; 8) Witness to situations of conflict and able to successfully reach compromises through conflict resolution; and 9) Developing, negotiating, and coordinating workload and funding requirements with customers. You will serve as a supervisor in planning, managing, supervising, and evaluating the organization’s functions, programs, and resources.
You will ensure that all products and services provided to customers are in accordance with established policy, procedures and processes.
You will provide customers with cost products that are accurate, timely, and consistent and meet quality standards.
You will coordinate reviews with department directors regarding analyses or products being presented to high-ranking officials of the program manager office, Secretary of the Navy, Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), and Congress.
You will contribute to change and growth within the department by assisting in the research and development of new tools, techniques, processes, and training.
