Job Description:
You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the FLEET COMPTROLLER, Financial Improvement Audit Readiness Department of COMMANDER US FLEET FORCES COMMAND.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: -Experience assessing organizational financial operations to ensure compliance with established regulatory laws and directives governing financial business processes. - Experience in directing comprehensive assessments of organizational financial operations to ensure stringent compliance with established regulatory laws and directives. - Experience in conducting comprehensive risk assessments across diverse business processes to fortify financial controls and enhance testing efficacy. - Experience in leveraging advanced financial systems and analytical tools to meticulously gather data and conduct in-depth financial research. - Experience in conducting root cause analysis of financial deficiencies, developing and implementing robust Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) to resolve issues effectively. - Experience in developing and implementing strategic initiatives and process optimizations that significantly enhance financial operational efficiency. - Experience with drafting high-impact, executive-level briefs to strategically advance Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) initiatives. You will oversee studies on various accounting, operations, internal controls and monitor general ledger budgetary, proprietary and statistical account balances.
You will conduct, lead- and oversee review, compliance testing (CEUC’s control points and substantive) and assess financial business processes.
You will continuously review existing laws, directives, policies and guidelines and ensure subordinate commands to comply with applicable Department of Defense (DoD) policy and procedures.
You will develop and implement processes, tools and training to accurately, sufficiently and timely accomplish audit response activity.
You will support the development, review and implementation of corrective actions to address risks, material weaknesses and financial reporting deficiencies.
