This position is located in the Reserve Fleets, Office of Ship Operations, Office of the Deputy Associate Administrator for Federal Sealift, Office of the Associate Administrator for Strategic Sealift, Maritime Administration (MARAD).

To qualify for the WG-07 Preservation Servicer, you must have experience and/or training of sufficient scope and quality to perform the duties without more than normal supervision, which includes: The ability to learn how to perform general housekeeping onboard vessels. As a Preservation Servicer, you will: Regularly inspect shipboard coatings and failed coating remediation involving scaling, scraping, and chipping. Perform vessel maintenance through topside housekeeping on non-retention vessels including sweeping and trash removal. Provide deck maintenance and repair, including of exterior surfaces, and surface preparation and recoating of failed areas aboard retention vessels and Fleet service craft. Assist other Fleet production tasks, such as ship arrivals, departures, and mooring as needed. The ideal candidate has the ability to learn how to perform general housekeeping.
