At the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), we are at the forefront in preventing and detecting terrorist financing, money laundering, and other financial crime. Serve at the nation's financial intelligence unit and protect the United States financial system from criminals and terrorist financiers.
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement: Specialized Experience for the GS-14: You must have one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal service which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position. Specialized experience is defined as: - Formulating policies, procedures, systems and programs for Physical, Information, Counterintelligence, Safety and Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP)/Emergency Preparedness; AND - Preparing directives, guides, notices, and other correspondence to define and communicate security program policies and procedures; AND - Preparing analyses and reports of operational activities. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. This position is located in our CFO/Management Division, Office of Security. As a Supervisory Security Specialist, you will: Be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Physical, Information and Special Security Programs Supervise and evaluate the performance and activity of subordinate Security specialists Provide direction and guidance to subordinate Security specialists in the conduct of Security related matters Plan, direct, and carry out FinCEN's Counterintelligence and SHEP Programs
