$19.29 per hour, with an additional $1.00 per hour for night
shifts.
 
Shift Needed: Days 5:00 am-5:30 pm on a 2-2-3
rotating schedule.

We are looking for Parts Detailers in our Plastics Department. This position will be based at our Brownwood, TX location, where we specialize in manufacturing high-quality bathroom products, including luxury bathtubs and toilets. 
 
Crafting Excellence: Your Responsibilities 
Remove the thermoformable plastic sheet and rim tape if it is still on the unit. 
Visually inspect each unit against the aesthetics standard to identify defects. 
On defective areas that do not meet the standard, use a sander, buffing compounds, and buffers as needed to bring the surface finish to an acceptable appearance and gloss. 
Inform supervision of repetitive or unusual defects that might be preventable. 
Sand the trimmed edges surface to remove chips to meet the aesthetics standard. 
Perform acrylic repairs on units with large chips and cracks to return units to A-1 condition.  
Performs final aesthetics inspection prior to end customer. 
Apply Kohler logo using appropriate locating jig or laser equipment as required. 
Apply clear tape to all rim and bench surfaces of units. 
Wipe or remove any debris that is on the surface of the unit. 
If data has not previously been entered, enter production and weight (if required) in KPAC.
Assure the data collection card matches the unit and the data label on the product. Place the data collection card with the unit prior to sending to the next operation. 
If the process requires it, attach ‘H’ mounts to the unit. 
Maintain a safe and clean work area. Keep equipment in clean working condition. 
Practices and follows all required safety regulations. 
Performs all duties as assigned by supervision.

Key Qualifications 
Must be able to work in the US without restrictions and sponsorship. 
Effective communication skills for manufacturing production processes. 
Must be at least 18 years old. 
 
Preferred Qualifications 
Requires moderate physical demand. 
Requires ability to process a designated number of units. 
Requires a keen eye for detail and must be able to pass vision test that includes ability to identify colors.  
Must be able to routinely lift up to 50 lbs as required for assembly of units and product movement. 
Requires exposure to heat, chemicals, dust and high noise levels. 
Must be able to work scheduled overtime. 
Possibility of reduced work hours.
