THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for an AIR CARGO SPECIALIST SUPERVISOR, Position Description Number PDD1545P01 and is part of the WY 153rd Logistics Readiness Squadron, Wyoming Air National Guard. This is a Title 32 Dual Status Technician Excepted Service position. Military affiliation is required.
AREAS OF CONSIDERATION: The consideration of qualified eligible candidates will be as follows: Area 1: All permanent and indefinite Wyoming National Guard (NG) WY ANG employees assigned to the 153 LRS. Area 2: All permanent and indefinite Wyoming Air National Guard (ANG) T32 Dual Status technicians employed within the Wyoming Air National Guard. Area 4: All current military members of the Wyoming Air National Guard. Area 6: Current military service members to include the US Air Force, Air Force Reserves, and other states' Air National Guard units. Must be willing/eligible to join the Wyoming Air National Guard as a military member prior to appointment to position. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Must possess experience or training which demonstrates the knowledge of equipment and practices associated with the type of work to be done. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess experience or training performing a full variety of Air Transportation functions necessary to manage the day-to-day Air Transportation and small air terminal operations including but not limited to, airdrop and airdrop inspections, rigging responsibilities, wing deployment training, passenger and cargo manifesting, Joint Inspection, load planning, determining cargo/passenger eligibility, establishing and maintaining air terminal security, directly responsible for safe and efficient loading/offloading of all DOD-owned and controlled aircraft and ensuring In-Transit Visibility (ITV). AND In addition to the above knowledge, you must possess experience which demonstrates the ability to plan, direct, and organize work assignments for lower grade personnel. Experience which required the review of work requirements and establish priorities to meet deadlines. Experience that provided knowledge of various lines of work performed by this function. Experience which demonstrates the ability to supervise or the potential to perform such duties as evidenced by the ability to communicate knowledge of general supervisory concepts, and knowledge of shop processes. Experience in adapting existing equipment and techniques to new situations. NOTE: Minimum Requirements and Specialized Experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position. MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidates will be required to be in a compatible military grade and assignment prior to the effective date of placement. COMPATIBLE MILITARY ASSIGNMENTS: Must possess AFSC 2T271, Air Transportation. DRIVER'S LICENSE: Must possess a valid state's driver's license.
This position is in the Small Air Terminal Section of the Deployment and Distribution Flight, 153d Logistics Readiness Squadron, 153d Air Base Group, 153d Airlift Wing, Wyoming Air National Guard. The purpose of this position is to supervise workers, either directly or through one or more subordinate leaders and/or supervisors in accomplishing the operations of a distinct organizational unit and to perform associated nonsupervisory work. (1) Planning: Plans weekly or monthly work schedules and sequence of operations. Establishes deadlines and priorities based on established general schedules, methods, and policies. Determines skills, materials, and equipment required to do the work. (2) Work Direction: Assigns tasks to be performed. Explains work requirements, methods, and procedures. Instruct subordinates on new procedures or methods and help with difficult or new problem areas. (3) Administration: Recommends and participates in the selection of personnel to fill vacancies. Schedules and approves subordinates' leave. Sets performance requirements and makes formal and informal performance appraisals. (4) Performs non-supervisory work of the function as needed. (5) Implements safety regulatory requirements. Ensures that subordinates wear appropriate safety equipment and follow pertinent safety precautions. ** This is NOT an all-inclusive list of duties. **
